When would I use each indefinite article (un, uno, un', una) and definite article (il, lo, l', la, gli, i, le)
What is Indefinite: un is for all male vowels and consonants except z and s followed by a consonant. Uno is for nouns beginning with z or s followed by a consonant. Un' is for female vowels. Una is for all female consonants.
Il is for singular male nouns starting with most consonants, and i is the plural form. Lo is for male singular nouns starting with z or s+consonant, and gli is the plural form. l' is for all nouns starting with a vowel in the singular. In the plural, male vowels use gli and female use le. La is for female nouns starting with a consonant in the singluar, and use le in the plural.
