What is a transmitter?

A transponder on a drone is a device that receives a signal (usually from radar or air traffic control systems) and automatically responds with specific information about the drone.

A visual observer (VO) is a trained crew member who assists the pilot (Remote Pilot in Command or RPIC) in maintaining visual line-of-sight with the drone and ensuring safe flight by scanning the airspace for potential hazards
