These programs support individuals who have experienced an overdose (usually within the first 24-72 hours) and connect them to helpful services such as naloxone and overdose prevention education, harm reduction, health care, mental health, treatment (if desired), and more.
What is a post-overdose response team?
This ESI team is focused on conducting ongoing surveillance of a variety of injury topics, from “car seats to homicides.” This team uses many types of data to respond to data requests and produce data dissemination materials to help understand the burden of injury in NC.

This approach to roadway safety has the goal of acknowledging that humans inevitably make mistakes, therefore roadways must be designed to accommodate these mistakes.
