What is a wrong asin scan?
Pick scanned wrong ASINs are created when a picker scans the incorrect barcode on a product.
When should items be rejected ?
Items should only be rejected if an aisle is closed and the picker is unable to enter the aisle.
What is the missing item process?
The missing item process is when you mark “m” for missing and your scanner prompts you to scan the bin location to ensure that you are in the right spot. Then the picker would proceed scanning every single item in the bin (following ASIN progression). After you have scanned every item in the bin and verified that the item is indeed missing you can go ahead and miss the item out.
What is a Pick Error Indicator ?
Pick Error Indicators are created when a cage goes to the packer and there are either overages, shortages, or damages that the picker did not originally damage out themselves. Overages and shortages can be created when performing quantity picks or due to poor cage etiquette. Damages can also be created from poor cage etiquette or a lack of attention to detail.
when should items be damaged out?
The picker should damage out any items that appear to not be in the proper condition that we are selling it as. Example:if the item appears to have any defects such as scratches, Discoloration, missing pieces, broken sets, dents, etc. The picker should follow the proper damage process (scan bin, mark “d”, scan correct ASIN (in ASIN progression), scan ‘tsdmg-’ sticker, place damage sticker on item and place item in damage bin at end of aisle.
True or false? When going to a bin to pick an item it is okay for me to randomly scan items until I find the correct item/asin.
False. Scanning the wrong ASIN multiple times causes a delay in picking the item and causes further wasted time. The picker should turn on the missing item function and Scan all items in the bin and all relevant barcodes (following ASIN progression)

What happens if I forget to close out my cage and put the items into a different cage?
Forgetting to close out your cage and placing items into a different cage will result in a shortage because the items will not be able to be located in the cage it was originally scanned into. which will then result in the picker generating a P.E.I.
Where should damaged items be placed ?
Damaged items should be placed in the damage/amnesty bin which is located at the end of the aisle.
If an item has an LPN and a X00 asin, which asin should I scan?
The picker should scan the LPN.
True or False. If an item is too heavy than it is okay for me to reject the item?
False. All items at HOU8 are 50LB or less and all associates should be able to pick any item as there is nothing that is over 50LB.
What happens if I miss out an item that is not missing from the bin?
Missing out an item that is not actually missing from the bin will result in the picker generating a false pick short quality error. Accumulating more than 3 false pick shorts in one week will then generate a system automated write up.
What happens if I pick the correct quantity but cannot fit all the items into my cage?
If you pick the correct quantity but aren't able to fit all of the items into the cage that was originally scanned. The picker will end up generating a P.E.I because all items that are virtually scanned into the cage are not physically there which will result in the packer missing out those items.

Asin progression is the order of importance of the various types of barcodes.
What is a master pack?
A Master Pack is a package having multiple units that are meant to be sold separately, as individuals. You will need to open the package and count each individual unit.
What is a pick short?
Unverified pick shorts are created when a picker marks an item as missing. The pick sniper then goes out to the bin location to figure out the root cause of the problem – whether a pallet is stowed incorrectly entirely, if the pallet is mixed, or if the product was hidden. When an item is marked missing, the item gets deleted from the facility’s inventory. We want to ensure that our customers are receiving the items that they have ordered in a timely manner in order to protect our promise of a great customer experience
What happens if an item falls out of my cage?
If a picker picks an item but fails to follow proper Cage utilization techniques causing the item to Shift and fall out during transit this will result in the picker generating a P.E.I. The picker should Follow proper Cage utilization techniques. Place large items on the bottom and tuck smaller items in the middle to prevent them from falling out during transit.
What happens if i go to pick an item that is leaking?
If a picker goes to pick an item and the item is leaking the picker should follow the damaged item process. The picker should then notify a PA or manager So that ABM can be called to clean up any leaks to prevent any incidents from occurring.
What steps should you take to find the correct asin?
The picker should thoroughly read the description on their scanner to understand what item they're looking for. The picker should then perform a 6-sided check for all items and Scan all items in the bin and all relevant barcodes (following ASIN progression).
How do I identify an master pack?
The picker can identify a master pack by looking for key words such as "set of" or "quantity" on the carton. As well as looking inside the box. Each unit in a master pack will have a separate barcode.

What happens If I pick a whole master pack?
If a picker makes the mistake of picking a whole master pack instead of the correct quantity. This will result in pick overages. As well as throwing off the inventory of the bin that the items were picked from.
What happens if I stack light items at the bottom of my cage and place the heavy items on top?
Poor cage etiquette can result in items being punctured or damaged. The picker should ensure that they are placing heavy items at the bottom of their cage and light items on top to avoid damaging items.
