Feet are . . .

walking

100

If you need to use the restroom, what should you do?

Raise your hand and wait to be excused

100

We should _______ from our cars to our class

We should WALK from our cars to our class. (Even if you are worried about being late. It's no fun to start off the day with a fall!)

100

Where do you wait for parents who are picking up by car?

In the front of the school or back underneath the over hang of the MPR by the back parking lot

200

Voices are

off

200

Never, ever, ever share what?

Food!

Even when we are trying to be nice or friendly, we can't ever share food.

200

If we are crossing the street or parking lot, what do we need to use?

The cross-walks! And if there is a crossing guard there, wait until they tell you it's time to cross

200

Can you play on your IPad, phone, or other electronic device while you wait?

Nope

300

Eyes are...

forward

300

Why is it important to keep our voice level low?

When there's so many people, the noise can get big fast. Then you can't hear when it's time to be excused! (Plus it can give people headaches when it's so loud!)

300

When should we get out of the car?

When it is at a complete stop, and the cars in front of you are stopped too.

300

Can you play football, tag, basketball, jumprope, or any other recess game while you wait?

Nope

400

What should we not stand or walk in front of?

Doorways. Ouch!

400

What do we do before we leave for recess?

Clean up our space

400

What should you always say to a staff member who is out there welcoming you?

Good morning! (We love that!)

400

What should you be doing as you wait for your ride?

Watching for your car

Sitting or standing near the front where the teachers are

Talking quietly with your friends

500

What should we walk on?

Sidewalks

Not the grass, walls, tan bark or bushes

500

How can we honor other people's space?

Stay in our spot

Keep our lunch items in front of us

Not touching other students

500

What should you always say to the person dropping you off?

Goodbye! Have a good day! Love you! (Or something like that . . . parents like that kind of thing!)

500

If you are in the front parking lot, where do you get in your car?

AFTER the crosswalk.

We cannot have students running after the crosswalk to get in the car. We also can't have students running through the parking lot. Your safety is important to us!!
