Each social class in feudal Japan had a very important role in helping society to function. The emperors were considered the highest class, yet they still were dependent on the peasants in order to have enough to eat. The Samurai were powerful warriors, yet they still were dependent on the Daimyo to give them orders and lead them through conflicts. Each class served a purpose within feudal Japan to help society function at it’s best.
