The Purpose of CS-2252 Condensate Pump Mini-Recirc Valve and its operating setpoints and interlocks.

CS-2252 maintains flow across the Gland Seal Condenser and the Inter/After coolers for the Air Ejection System.
This valve opens at <3 psid from pump discharge to outlet of the air ejector condensers and shuts when >8.5 psid.
This valve is interlocked to go SHUT when CS-2273 Low Pressure Feedwater Heater Bypass Valve is opened.

304

The Intermediate Range Instruments were calibrated prior to reactor startup at BOL, the reactor is preparing for power coast down. After shutdown is complete, it is noted that source range instruments did not re-energize automatically. What mistake during calibration would cause this to occur?

If the IR instruments were Undercompensated during calibration, they would be reading artificially high following shutdown, preventing the re-energization of the SR detectors by not meeting the P-6 setpoint.

304

RCS Temperature is 400 degrees during warmup to normal operating temperature. What is TS limit for shutdown margin at this time? Are there any hour or less actions if this is out of spec?

Mode 3- Limit is 2.0% SDM, if out of spec, borate to restore within 15 minutes.
