At the marathon, you attend a Citizens Stage event (for free) and are entered to win a t-shirt just for attending. The shirt will be given away at the end of the event.

On race day, volunteers offer runners the opportunity to pay for a $10 ticket in exchange for the chance to win a lifetime supply of New Balance shoes. The winner is randomly selected at the finish line at the end of the race.

Those who sign up for or upgrade their NYRR membership are entered for the chance to win a tote bag.
