Demonstrate proficiency on state defined standards
What tests are taken in 6th and 7th grade?
ELA and Mathematics.
How can a student be eligible for promotion into 4th grade?
Must achieve the target score on Ohio ELA testing.
Which accommodations change auditory, tactile, visual and/or combination of these aspects of a test?
Presentation Accommodations (human readers, sign language interpreter, text-to-speech, etc)
What percentage of the school population can take the AASCD?
No more than 1% of the school population unless justification is provided by the district.
What was one of the background problems that led to NCLB?
Students in general education were academically unprepared compared to students in other countries.

What is the Kindergarten Readiness Assessment?
This assessment includes ways for teachers to measure a child’s readiness for engaging with instruction aligned to the kindergarten standards.
Can students be exempted from being retained in 3rd grade?
