What is a reason the Home Base option may be the best option for families
a. Use the home environment to help parents create rich learning opportunities that build on everyday routines and support their child’s development. The parent’s ability to recreate the child development experiences after you leave is equally important to what you do during the home visit. b. Provide support to families whose life circumstances might prevent them from participating in more structured settings, families such as those who suffer severe stressors like maternal depression or substance abuse. Working in the environment where families are most comfortable often lets you get to know families in a much more intimate way, which sets the stage for close, trusting relationships—the critical element in any program designed to support children and their families. c. Be flexible and offer support and child development services during nontraditional hours to families who work or go to school. d. Work with families who live in rural communities and who otherwise would not be able to receive needed services
