Someone is standing on a train moving a 30km per hour west. Two strike of lighting struck the train one at the very back one at the very front. The person is standing in the middle of the train. Why will they say that they saw the first strike of lightning first, even though the speed of light is always the same. Another person was standing in between the strokes on the platform in the same position he stated they were simultaneous. Explain why.

Because the train observer is moving toward the front flash and away from the rear one, the two light signals don’t cover equal distances. Light’s speed is fixed for all observers, so unequal distances translate into unequal arrival times. From the train observer’s frame, the flashes cannot be simultaneous—despite appearing simultaneous to the observer on the platform.
