Why should a Fellow complete all administrative work as required by their placement school?
1. Teach For India wants Fellows to have as real a teacher experience as possible, and the pressures on teachers outside of class responsibilities across India are huge. By seeing this, Fellows can begin to find solutions on how to do administrative work faster and more efficiently. 2. Most Teach For India placement schools require that Fellows perform all the duties of regular teachers.

A Fellow posts on Facebook that she had a bad day at school, lost temper and hit a child. What would you do? 1) Report it to the SPM, HR and CD 2) Treat it as gross misconduct as it was breach of 2 policies, CPP and not informing 3) Speak to the Fellow about it, understand the reasons, create a support plan for him 4) All of the above
It is all of the above and beyond it, a breach is CPP is a gross misconduct, however, we must aim to understand the why behind a Fellow's behaviour, support him/her to not repeat it again, urge him to re-build the trust of the child.

Fellows will remain active learners through the two years and beyond, and these forums, trainings and events are designed to give Fellows the skills, tools and mind sets that they require to get their children on a different life path. Fellows are also active participants at all sessions, sharing and supporting other Fellows to reach their goals.

Why should Fellows/PMs build relationships of trust and respect with team members at school/school management and invest them in the wider movement and Teach For India?
1. Strong relationships are also the precursor to negotiating for important aspects that will greatly help in reaching goals, for example: freedom to use alternative and progressive teaching methods, more time with our students after or before school, etc.2. Teach For India will strive to place new Fellows in schools when old Fellows complete their Fellowship to ensure long-term impact on our students. It is, therefore, imperative to develop strong relationships at schools so that the school team welcomes a long-term partnership with Teach For India.
