Texas is one of just seven states not to impose an income tax, despite the efforts of liberal legislators to impose one. Legislation filed on Tuesday could make that task a lot harder.
House Joint Resolution 38 by State Rep. Jeff Leach (R–Plano) would amend the state constitution to ban an income tax from being collected, with the language reading, “The legislature may not impose a tax on the net incomes of individuals, including an individual’s share of partnership and unincorporated association income.”

It is utterly ridiculous to me that we as citizens are still allowing a Government that WE created for OUR benefit and organization to control us to the extent that they do and with no oversight and now, no love for the people. They do not care for us on the Hill. Our leaders love only themselves and their money. THIS NEEDS TO CHANGE. I introduced Resolution No. 523 on November 13, a resolution condemning the Trump Administration’s proposed “Inadmissibility on Public Charge Grounds” rule that targets immigrants enrolled in supplemental assistance programs. The rule would consider immigrants on programs such as Medicaid, SNAP, and Federal housing assistance as "public charges" who would likely be denied legal status.

The Legislation passed through the Law Committee on November 26 and is on the agenda for a vote on December 3. Please come out and speak at the public comment period at 6:30pm at the Albany County Courthouse (16 Eagle St, Albany) and please submit a public comment in opposition to this dangerous proposal: Dalila Yeend can't work because she is undocumented - but she also can't receive public benefits or risk jeopardizing her green card application. This one can be confusing because the Social Security is mixed up in there with the Immigration. That said, we actually have advocacy for both. Since this guy is opposing the rule itself that is affecting Social Security benefits, we can see that the advocacy is directed towards that SPI issue and can tag this for Social Security as well as Immigration.

Our goal at Citizen Army Wear goal is to support the brave men and women who have fought for this country in many wars, stood up to terror threats, and protected us against all threats both foreign and domestic.
