Talk to someone, write in journal, exercise, or do something else we like to do.
Would there be times it would be okay to take a drug to feel better?
No! It is also illegal to do drugs under the age of 21 and drinking or doing drugs to change or feelings is never okay to do
What are some examples of ways that someone might act who lost their self-control when they were feeling angry?
Fighting, yelling, screaming, destroying property, throwing things, slamming doors, hitting, etc

S.I.T.
S= STOP- cool down and gain control.
I=IDENTIFY- what are you feeling and why?
T=TAKE ACTION- respond to your feelings in an appropriate way that shows respect for yourself and others
How could using alcohol, tobacco or drugs like marijuana or inhalants make it hard to practice self-control when we are feeling angry?
Make it hard to keep self-control- they can cause us to lose control over the way we feel and act
Do people do things that can keep them from achieving their dreams?
Yes! Two things are getting into fights and using alcohol and other drugs

When others our age try to get us to do something they want us to do
What kind of things would a person who cares about us want us to do?
Being honest, kind, fair, not fighting, controlling ourselves when we are angry, not using tobacco, alcohol, or other drugs
Who is some safe people in your like that you can talk to or ask for help?
Parent, guardian, relative, neighbor, teacher, counselor, coach, minister, rabbi, police officer, or a friends parent
What types of obstacles can keep us from achieving our dreams or goals?
Things like getting sick and hurt, not having enough money, not being able to get everything you need etc.
What does it mean to be a friend?
Understanding and appreciating what is special about each other, being a good listener, being reliable and trustworthy, caring about each other, sharing, forgiving each other when there are disagreements, friends always want what is best for each other and to treat them how they want to be treated
Is someone being a friend to us if they want us to make unhealthy choices?
No a friend would want us to make good and healthy choices and if they do want you to make unhealthy choices, they are not a good friend

Be yourself and like yourself, Be a good listener, Be reliable and trustworthy, Understanding that having conflict is normal, and Forgive one another

No it is almost always a friend or even a family member
