What was the significance of the veil being torn?
When Jesus died, the veil in the temple tore. The veil was what separated them from the Holy of Holies, which was the Most Holy Place where God's presence dwelled. When the veil was torn, it symbolized there was now nothing separating them from the presence of God. The veil was THICK and was torn from top to bottom, so a supernatural event. So now we all have access to God's presence and a relationship with Him. Through Jesus' sacrifice alone.
