Trauma is a scary, dangerous, upsetting, violent or life threating event that can happen to anyone

It can stop the physical development of the child's brain and lead to psychological problems, such as low self- esteem, which could later lead to high-risk behaviors, such as substance use.

When a kid experiences lots of scary things (more than 1) at a young age, usually at the hands of their caregivers (who were supposed to be safe and protect them) and the way this affects the kid
