The World Turtle, or Cosmic Turtle, is a widespread mythological motif where a giant tortoise or turtle supports the world on its back.
Infernape is primarily based on Sun Wukong, the Monkey King from the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West.
Empoleon is based off of Poseidon from Greek mythology.
