What is the state of Israel and Judah during the time of Jeremiah?
Not good:
Israel subjugated
Judah mired in wickedness and idolatry
Assyrians fall, Babylon rises
Temple is destroyed
They put Jeremiah where, for what, and he was helped by whom?
He was placed in prison, with the intent to kill him, for preaching the Gospel and 'weakening the fighting men'.
