What is the COSTUME DESIGNER?
Person who co-ordinates all of the technical elements and crews of a prodcution.
Who is the TECHNICAL DIRECTOR?
Responsible for the soundtrack and reinforcements in a live theatre production.
Who is the SOUND DESIGNER?
A performer who learns a role so they are ready to step up if another actor is unable to perform.
What is an UNDERSTUDY?
Responsible for Front of House (Box Office, Ushers) and for audience safety.
Who is the HOUSE MANAGER?
Helps during the performances with costume maintenance and quick changes.
What is a DRESSER?
Person who works between actors, artistic staff, and technical staff. Works with a crew and calls cues. Often builds the rehearsal schedule and scene change assignments.
Who is the STAGE MANAGER?
Responsible for creating the scenic look throughout a production and for designing props.
Who is the SET DESIGNER?
Develops combat sequences and trains actors in using weapons and safely performing combat sequences.
Who is the FIGHT DIRECTOR?
For a touring company, in charge of payroll, dealing with disputes, and is a the producer's liason between the actors and the producer.
Who is the COMPANY MANAGER?
Operates the sewing machines to build costume pieces.
Who is the SEAMSTRESS?
An advisor to the production staff to help them understand the background and historical context of the play.
Who is the DRAMATURG?
Head of the lighting crew and responsible for the maintenance and hanging of light instruments.

Specialist that helps actors with proper pronunciation and vocal clarity, especially when using accents.

Responsible for budgets and finding cost-reducing measures.

Creates patterns to guide the construction of costumes.
Who is the CUTTER?
A name for a playwright, composer, or lyricist that creates the script of the prodcution.
Who is a DRAMATIST?
Responsible for moving scenery during performance of a show.
Who is a GRIP?
A job in older theatre - a person who helps actors if they forget their lines.
Who is a PROMPTER?
Contributes money in the form of donations to a theatre.
Who is a FINANCIAL BACKER?
Makes / builds / constructs hats.
