What doctrine do we learn from this passage:

"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth."

Hint: "Christ, by highest heaven adored, Christ, the everlasting Lord, late in time behold him come, offspring of the Virgin's womb: veiled in flesh the Godhead see; hail th'incarnate Deity, "

The Doctrine of the Incarnation:

"Incarnation" literally means “in flesh” or “in a body”. This teaches us that the "The Word" (who is also the Son of God) became man in order to make God known in a very special way.

"No one has ever seen God; God the only Son, who is at the Father's side, he has made him known." (John 1:18)

LORD = Yahweh = “I Am”

Why did Jesus stay two days longer after hearing that Lazarus was sick (see John 11:1-7).

Since he loved Mary, Martha, and Lazarus, he allowed him to die so that he might display to them that He has the power of eternal life, because he is "the resurrection and the life".
