What are the following steps: 

1. Perform hand hygiene and don clean gloves

2. Remove the PDI Sani Bleach wipe (Orange Top)

 from canister

3. Wipe the external surface(s) of the glucometer thoroughly

4. Discard the used wipe

5. Remove NEW PDI Sani Bleach wipe (Orange Top)

6. Wipe surface of glucometer horizontally 3x and vertically 3 times

  *Avoid the bar code scanner and electrical connecter

7.    Gently wipe the surface area of the test strip port

  *Make sure that no fluid enters the port

8. Glucometer must remain wet (contact time) for 4 minutes

9. Glucometer is now ready for use
