This type of Fibrous joint is a rigid joint between two or more bones and allows for very little movement. Usually in the cranium.

This joint allows more movement that a fibrous joint. It can be found between vertebrae or the pubic symphysis

What are ribs/costocartilage?
This creates blood cells through a process called Hematopoeisis
What are long bones
This joint offers the greatest amount of motion.
What is a synovial joint?
This joint subtype is located in the cranium
What are sutures?
I am the bones involved in the elbow joint
Humerus, radius, ulna
There is no empty space between these joints. Common locations are between the ribs and sternum and between vertebrae
What are cartilaginous joints?
This bone is flush with the ribs and allows for shoulder movement and stability
This type of joint has fluid in and around it.
