What was Johah afraid that his people the Isrealites would do if he went to help the people of Nineveh.

They asked him to pray to his God, because they had been praying to their God's and nothing happened.

Because they stole from the Israelites, hurt Jonah's people's women and were their sworn enemies.

He followed his teachings and prayed everyday. He loved God very much.

He went thought the deserts until he reached the seashore. He got on a ship.
They asked what Jonah had done. What did he tell them to do.
Jonah told them he had run away from what God told him to do. He told them to throw him off the ship.
Why was God mad at the people of Niniveh
The people in this place were cruel and evil, they fought with each other. They did not follow God.
God told him that he must go speak to them because?
He was their only chance to be saved and not destroyed.

No. He ran away instead.

They had stone idols, and many gods. They did not know the true God.

He was lazy and he ate while his people starved.

He knew how to answer people's questions and give good advice.

What happened to Jonah after he prayed.
God allowed the whale to spit him out on the fourth day. God told him that he couldn't run from Him. Jonah went to talk to Nineveh and they changed their ways and the king asked for forgiveness. They listened to him and they changed and followed God. God did not destroy them. Jonah was not happy, but God taught him that they were lost, and then found, and were now his family. This is similar to the story of Jesus and how he saved us. Jonah told everyone the story of how God saved him from the belly of the whale and he lived a long life.
