She is the cheapest hero in the game, only costing 2000, along with Layla and Zilong. Her name is a reference to one of the Hyades in Greek mythology. They are a sisterhood of nymphs that bring rain. As the name suggests, her second skills are based on the real-life and rare phenomenon of ball lightning, described as luminescent, spherical objects that vary in size from pea-sized to several meters in diameter. Descriptions of ball lightning appear in a variety of accounts over the centuries and have received attention from scientists.

He was the very first hero to be reworked. He's also the only one whose rework was aimed to nerf him, as he was intended to be "a marksman who's good at poking and consuming enemies from distance, rather than a hero who charges up and deals crowd damage like an assassin." All of his old skills were reused/repurposed for other heroes with some changes: Passive and 1st skill were repurposed for Granger's. The 2nd skill was reused for Karrie's Phantom Step. Ultimate was reused for Claude's Blazing Duet. He has the most redesigns out of all of the heroes in the game, and currently has 6 redesigns. His name is presumably referenced from someone who is known for starring and directing Western-style films and television series.

It lacks scales, muscles, and a swim bladder, instead having soft bones and a body with a density slightly less than water, which helps it float just above the seafloor while conserving energy.
