Allah tested Ibrahim (AS) many times to see how much he loved and trusted Him.
One of the biggest tests was when Allah commanded him to take his wife Hajar and their baby son, Ismail (AS), to the desert of Makkah. At the time, Makkah was a dry, barren place with no people or water. Ibrahim (AS) left them there, trusting that Allah would look after them.
Despite being hurt by his brothers, Prophet Yusuf showed this quality towards his brothers when he finally reunited with them.

Translation:
“My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to do righteousness of which You approve. And admit me by Your mercy into [the ranks of] Your righteous servants.”
