Artificial Intelligence: The growing capabilities of artificial intelligence (AI) services (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, etc.) requires special care in the context of learning.
Teachers may give special instructions about the use of AI for any specific activity
In the absence of specific instructions, students may use AI to support their work but may not use such tools to do their work. While it may not always be clear where the line is, generally AI may be used to help learn about topics, but AI should not be used to create drafts of assignments.
All use of AI must be cited in any work that a student turns in. This means that there should be a statement at the end of the assignment explaining how any AI applications were used and the sources cited.

Students may not use personally owned technologies, including cell phones, smart watches, tablets, laptop computers, and music players at school without permission
At the beginning of the day, all personally owned technologies must be checked in with a staff member. The technology will then be stored in a known, visible location to the student
If a student has an accommodation supported by the use of technology, we will work with the student to craft an appropriate solution
There may be times when the use of personal technologies is needed for a curriculum-specific purpose as delineated by staff
