What is the process for an abnormal blood pressure in office?
1. Turn the blood pressure sign to show that it is elevated.
2. Do not mark the patient as ready and recheck the blood pressure in 5 minutes.
3. If still elevated, let your provider know so they can address it during the visit.
What do you do if there is no tickler created for a lab?
The MA should go to the provider that ordered the lab and ask that they create the tickler so Front Desk can check them in.

What are the steps after a patient reports normal blood pressure at the 2 week call?
1. Document on patient case and send back to the provider.
2. Have FD check-in the patient under the TH.
3. Document the BP under the vitals section and transfer the DX code from the last visit.
4. Close the encounter.
