Wet brain, or Wernicke-Korsakoff syndrome (WKS), is a brain disorder related to acute and chronic depletion of a vitamin B1 (thiamine), which is a result of poor nutrition in chronic alcoholics.
Symptoms of wet brain include:
Confusion and loss of mental activity that can progress to coma and death; loss of muscle coordination (ataxia) that can cause leg tremor; Abnormal eye movements and a dementia-like state that includes mumbling, double vision, eyelid drooping.
