The essence of the Kairos Outside program is LOVE--not just for Guests, but also team members, relatives/friends, people supplying agape, and love for Jesus.
What is 'The Heart of Kairos Outside'
The program is built on a realization that no matter how organized, smart, or experienced we are--success is totally dependent on how will the team is to humble itself and adopt a prayerful spirit.
What is 'Prayer'
God inspired the Kairos Outside program and it is not up to us to change what God has inspired; the Christian life is one of learning to lay down our will and to joyfully serve in obedience.
What is 'Obedience'
An example of conflict on the Team...usually when someone becomes harsh or someone appears overly sensitive and is hurt...often the Leader.

1. Provide a safe place 2. Offer unconditional love and acceptance 3. Encourage the sharing of one's life journey
What are 'Goals of Kairos Outside'
Agape is the love of Christ delivered through the Body of Christ. True agape is the spirit behind the giving of gifts.
What is 'Agape'
The reason that Kairos Outside has such an impact on people's lives it that the team comes as advocates for Christ! We are to meet and love the Guests and withhold judgment or expectations.
What is 'Staying Focused'
This theme means we sacrifice our need to be in control and listen with our hearts...a true act of great love!
What is 'Listen, Listen, Love, Love'
Should be held within 2-3 weeks and prove to the Guests that there are sisters and brothers in Christ who want to help support them on their life journey.

Christ calls us to be servants; you are asked to sacrifice your self-focus so that you can truly be His servant on this Kairos Outside Weekend.
What is 'Sacrifice'
In Kairos Outside, we focus on the thing that unites us as Christian people and avoid those denominational practices that divide us.
What is 'Stay on Common Ground'
To make this a safe environment for all, we ask that you honor points of common understanding. This means we uphold Confidentiality and there are questions that are never asked by Kairos Outside volunteers.
