The park he knew was gone. He saw some old buildings he knew but they were surrounded by new buildings. Everybody was in such a hurry, there were many new vehicles and tall buildings.
Explain why you think all the shopkeepers were so excited to see the Kamishibai Man again.
It reminded them of their childhood. They could look at him and see how he was exactly the same and it helped them to remember how much fun they had as children.
Why does the truck blast his horn at Jiichan when he is riding his bike in the street?
Jiichan is not used to so much traffic and he was in the truck's way.
