Provide identification, sign in yourself and your date, receive a wristband ONLY if you are 21 and up

This committee is responsible to oversee and monitor all risk management activities within the chapter

Can the driver drink at all during the day of the event?
NOT AT ALL -It is prohibited to drink before, during or AFTER the event -It is prohibited to transport alcohol in the vehicles being used

What is their duty to intoxicated guests?
Monitors will ensure that intoxicated guest(s) utilize safe third party transportation (taxies or designated drivers) to leave the event as outlined in the KD transportation policy

Who can dispense of alcohol at Kappa Delta events?
3rd party vendor who is not and will no be drinking before or during the event, and is NOT A KD

There must be a beginning and an ending time for EVERY social

Only individual monies may be used, not the chapters

How do we get to and from Kappa Delta sponsored functions?
-If the event is less than 60 miles away, personal transportation CAN be taken (i.e. designated dirvers/walkers) -If the event is more than 60 miles or 60 minutes away other transportation must be used

What can the drivers/walkers receive as compensation?
Designated drivers cannot receive monetary compensation, but can receive non- monetary incentives such as points, excuses, etc

Who is the most important person you will cooperate with at the event?
Monitors will cooperate with SECURITY -to ensure all guests have checked out and left the premises at the end of the event. -to enforce policies and procedures -to determine whether intoxicated members or guest should be removed from the event. Security will be responsible for the physical removal of any and all attendees should that become necessary. -to determine if law enforcement should be called if a situation arises.

What happens if Kappa Delta is found in violation of alcohol policies?
You can be put on social probation or have your charter pulled

What is the definition of a Kappa Delta event?
It can be both a sponsored event and an event that simply has a lot of KD's there -It is important to understand that Kappa Delta may be considered a "sponsoring organization" or a "cosponsoring organization" of an event simply because of the number of Kappa Delta members taking part in the activity. Consequently, the Kappa Delta alcohol policy must be followed if there is a substantial number of sorority members (defined as members and new members) at the event. If the event is held at a men’s fraternity facility, the event must be alcohol-free. If the event is held at a third-party location, the Kappa Delta Policy on Alcohol applies to any activity which is implicitly or explicitly sponsored by Kappa Delta. All functions must be by invitation only; there shall be no "open" parties.

What are some events that alcohol is prohibited from?
-New member programs. All membership recruitment programs and functions that deal with the membership recruitment of new members will be completely dry. -Philanthropic events and/or fund-raisers. These may not include alcohol, even if served legally per Kappa Delta guidelines.
