Extending an Option Date
There are times when a Travel Partner will call in requesting an option extension. We are able to accommodate those requests most of the time; if the reservation system shows "Extend Opt?" you may extend the option date, unless the booking meets one of the following exceptions: Give me at least 3
You should only extend the option on a reservation the date it is due to expire. (There may be exceptions for weekend and holiday option expirations, i.e. the option expires on a Sunday but the travel agency is closed on Sundays, you may extend the option the Friday prior to the expiration.
DO NOT extend the option date on Sales Event bookings.
DO NOT extend the option on Holiday Sailings. (Holiday sailings are defined as sailings that occur over Christmas and/or New Year's Day, and as dictated by the respective Revenue Departments.)
DO NOT extend the option date on code yellow sailings.
DO NOT extend options for booking created as TBA. When the last name or all names are given, then the booking will automatically update with a new option date, usually 7 days.
DO NOT extend the option if the deposit date and the final payment date are the same unless the sailing is code green.

If a booking is repriced due to a name change after the final payment date, what is the appropriate course of action?

After the Final Payment Date, the gross total must remain unchanged regardless of any modifications made to the booking.
For direct guest bookings: If a direct guest calls but is not part of the reservation and wants to make a payment, are we allowed to accept the payment?

Travel partner calls to create a new booking that is not a TBA booking as the travel partner has the guests' legal names. However, the travel partner does not have the guests' pre-cruise email and phone number.
Question: Are we allowed to put the travel partners email as a pre-cruise email so that we can close the sale?
