What is Labor Management
A workplace organization method that organizes materials and a work space to make it more efficient. it also is used to help identify areas in the work space where there is waste or non value add items/processes.
What is 5S
Japanese term for "actual place" where the work is occurring. A tool used in order to grasp the current process or situation through observation and asking questions before taking any action. Some of you might know this as specific walk.
What is GEMBA
This item includes job aids, step by step instructions, and flow charts for a specific process performed in the warehouse. It's acronym is two letters, SW.
What is a Standard Work.
Japanese term meaning "continuous improvement". The core idea is to implement small, incremental changes that lead to large improvements overtime. In Kenco, it's normally a collaboration between Kenco and the customer we are servicing. This ideology helps increase efficiency and quality.
What is Kaizen
This is a safety term which basically means; something bad could have happened but ultimately nothing bad did happen. And it also asks us; What can we do to further ensure an incident doesn't occur? Hint: 2 words
