The very first thing leaders should do when students enter the classroom.

When a child discloses abuse, your role is to stay calm, listen carefully, assure them they did the right thing, and do this — but never investigate yourself.
What is document factual information (indicators, comments, observations)?
Bending down or sitting to meet a child at eye level, handshakes, high-fives or fist-bumps, holding hands while walking with a small child, brief hugs.
What are examples of appropriate touch?
Behavioral problems, crying for 10 minutes, accidents, need more supplies, need support.
What are examples of when you should use your walkie to call for the hall monitor?
When servant leaders stay connected to God’s Kingdom vision and the mission of the church, they are demonstrating this quality.
What is being aligned?
A student’s sibling arrives at pickup without the matching parent tag.
What is send them to get the parent or the parent tag before releasing the student?
As a mandatory reporter, you should follow these three steps: document, come to a staff member, and then do this together.
