Draw the hierarchy of mechanics.

2

Break down the human movement of an RDL; include the the axis, resistance, force, and moment arms.

Axis is the hips, resistance is the weight you are holding in front, and the force is in the hamstrings. This makes it a 3rd class lever with the force in the center.

A teeter-totter is 9 m long with a fulcrum placed 2 m from one end. A child sits on the shorter end, while another child sits on the longer end. What is the mechanical advantage/disadvantage of the child sitting on the shorter end? Draw and label all parts of the system.

3

Draw an example of: eccentric, concentric, isometric, flexion and extension.

3

Draw a gym exercise for each plane of motion.

Sagittal plane - Bicep curl, squat, deadlift, lunge.

Frontal (Coronal) - Lateral raise, shoulder press, hip ab/adduction.

Transverse plane - Bench press, chest fly, Russian twist.

3

A classmate is walking and has a ground-contact phase of 0.75 s with their right foot and a total cycle time of 1.30 s. Draw the different phases and calculate each phase's absolute and relative time.
