Volunteering at a local event shows kindness to the community, because you are giving your time to help others in need. It shows you care. An example could be, reaching out to a local church or charity and see if there are any upcoming events you can volunteer at. This could be during the holidays.

What is empathy, and how is it different from just being nice? Give one example.

Empathy is a step beyond sympathy. Its when you truly put yourself in another's shoes and feel the same way they do. Not to the same extent of course, but you say more than just "I'm sorry". You are there for that person and ask if you can help in anyway.

You overhear a friend spreading an untrue rumor about someone. What should you do to respond kindly and responsibly?

Talk to that friend and explain how harmful that friend is being. Its only going to make matters worse and that friend is going to be part of the problem.

When classmates are being respectful to one another it is a more enjoyable learning environment. The teacher is able to also teach the lesson without disruptions that can make students miss out on important content.

I would bring up the difference between people and ow we are all UNIQUE and special in our own way. THe color of our eyes, hair , skin, the beliefs that we have , our own cultural backgrounds. It makes us who we are. Having a club that celebrates cultural differences allows everyone opportunities to be part of something.
