A recipe calls for 1/2 cup of butter (1 stick) softened (not melted). How can you do this so it softens faster?
Cube the butter and leave it on the counter for 15-30 minutes. If you leave it as a full stick, you'll need to let it soften for 30-45 minutes.
If you use a microwave, put the stick in a bowl and cook for 10 seconds.

Second option: wipe the stove top clean because you're part of the group and it's helpful to your peer. Next time, they might do the same thing for you.
What should you do if you don't have a cooking job in the kitchen?
Ask your group if there's something you can do or help with. You can also start washing the dishes or put away ingredients if there's nothing to do.
In addition to a potato peeler, what utensil can help you peel a potato?
A fork.
Stick a fork in a potato, then use the peeler to get the skin off. The fork stabilizes the potato for you.

You need to put your food in a microwave safe container and then reheat the food in the microwave.
Otherwise, high temps can cause styrofoam to melt or break down causing toxins to leak into your food.
What can you use in your measuring cups before measuring honey or syrup to make them easier to clean?
Cooking spray.
Spray your measuring cups with cooking spray before measuring.

Do the dishes, wash the counters, put food items in the cabinet or refrigerator.
How can you keep an appetizer cool when you take it to a party?
Add a bag of crushed ice to an appetizer bowl to keep it cool longer. Put lettuce on top to make it look pretty, then apps on top of the lettuce.
You can also keep it refrigerated for a few hours.
