Turn on the popper to prepare to make popcorn 20 minutes before the start of the next movie
Make popcorn as soon as the popper is ready
Make sure everything is restocked, including in the self-serve area (if needed)
Make sure hot food items are prepped
Make sure you have enough quarters, 1’s, 5’s, and 10’s in your register
What should an usher do in between theater cleans?
Things on the usher checklist.
How do you prepare yourself for your shift?
Shower, wear deodorant, brush your hair, and put on clean clothes that follow the Edina 4 dress code.
How do you properly call into work?
Give 2 day's notice.
(Unless there is an unforeseen emergency)
How do you swap tickets?

- Input receipt number on ticket
- Select the correct number and type of tickets
- Choose seats
- Press OK

What should ushers do during a rush?
Stay out of lobby (unless you are asked) so that customers can move freely throughout the area.
Specifically, do things on the usher checklist that are not in the lobby.
How should you control your behavior while at work?
By using your inside voice and not insulting or harassing your coworkers.
What do you do when a purchasable item (with the exception of cups) is damaged?
Write it on the damage log + inform a manager.

What do you do when a soda/Icee cup is damaged?
Rinse, sanitize, airdry, and reuse.
What do you do when a customer makes a purchase of $50 or more?
Have the customer sign the transaction record
Hit "print receipt"
Staple both the transaction record and the receipt together and place them near the damage log
What do you do when somebody asks for a closed captioning device?

Make sure that it turns on, take their ID + fill out CC device log.
Make sure it's off + return ID + fill out CC device sheet + put it away correctly.
What should ushers do at the end of their shift?
Ushers should empty dustpan, put broom and dustpan in the usher closet, place walkie on the charging stand, and turn in keys to the manager.
What aren't appropriate conversations to have with your coworkers when customers are nearby?
Conversations involving politics, religion, drug use, cursing, or lewd topics.
What do you do when a customer comes to you with a pressing complaint?
Ex.- a complaint about the price of tickets vs. a complaint that somebody is in the wrong seat.

Direct them to concessions. Ex.- “Someone at concessions can help you with that”
What behaviors are inappropriate when interacting with your coworkers?
Harassment, even as a joke
Insensitive comments + jokes
Making inappropriate comments + noises over the walkies
Messing around together, especially if you have work to be done
How do you properly request unavailability on Sling?
- Unavailability

- Fill out unavailability for correct dates
- Set the repeat (if needed)
- SAVE
