Why did the Chinese troops come into the war and what impact did they have on the Korean war?
They came into the war because China was allied with North Korea, as communist powers. When China saw how involved the US was getting in the war, China warned the Americans to not go near China's borders. The US didn't listen to this, and US troops pushed into China, and were met by 300,000 Chinese troops. This pushed back the American forces. The impact on the war was great. This gave America the choice to participate in a huge land war in Asia, and it showed that it wasn't going to be won without nuclear weapons or large numbers of troops.
