For awhile there was a lot of tension because the disaster killed and injured a large number of wildlife and residents of the area. But after Hussein was out of the government the tension is slowly coming to a dead end.

Because the country of Kuwait was covered in soot and ash, thousands of animals and sea animals died to the mist of oil in the air, and the lakes where now covered with oil causing a bunch of the sea creatures to die.

Since the crisis the number of whales, dolphins, along with farm animals many other creatures in the area were affected as well.
