What is the study and what is included in it?
The study is a part of the assignment. It is the opportunity for students to:
-Plan their own time
-Learn
-Work on tasks
-Book a tutorial for feedback, assistance/help, asking a question, or meeting a new teacher

1. Use of assessment data and feedback is routine, intelligent and helpful at all levels.
2. Educators and students regularly talk about feedback and goals, in a way that supports student growth and confidence.
3. Students’ take their target grades and goals seriously and are motivated to aim high. They and their teachers know their specific next steps and are ambitious to stretch themselves.

What is the lesson?
The lesson is a part of the assignment. It is where you are with a teacher in a class and they are often teaching a specific unit of study that applies to that class and the curriculum. It can be on zoom or in person.

The assignment is the overarching thing that the lesson and the study fall into. It is the unit of study or topic that you are learning in the specific class.

1. All staff and students are explicitly clear about how to restore positive behavior routines and steps to take to avoid situations escalating.
