Functions of a Noun
The way nouns (words, phrases, or clauses) can be used in a sentence.
Case
Case applies only to nouns and pronouns. There are 3 cases: Nominative Case (subject or predicate nominatives/subjective complements). Objective nouns/pronouns are used as objects. Possessive Case nouns and pronouns are used to show ownership.
Sentence
A group of words that meets two criteria: content- a complete thought, structure- has a subject and a predicate
