The first essay is about creating a home wherever you go, regardless of whether it's permanent; home is not necessarily a dwelling, but a feeling. 

The second essay is about seeing people without homes as people, instead of as nouns (the homeless, the poor). Home again is more than a shelter; it's where the heart is.  When someone has no home, they're are missing an essential part of what it means to be human.

The third essay addresses society's responsibility in creating the problem of homelessness and in remedying the problem. It forces us to recognize that there are a multitude of causes of being unhoused and to examine our role in the social contract.  It again involves seeing people as people, not as problems to be solved.
