How was the Tango created?
Immigrants flocked to the La Plata River as part of a development program, in hopes of jobs. Instead of prosperity, these immigrants had to live with crime, prostitution and homesickness. People turned to music and dance to distract from their problems. African and South American styles blended with European styles to create the Tango, which if fiery and passionate.
