The cleaning guidelines attached to the clothing.
What is a care label?
To separate dirty clothes by groups so they are laundered correctly
What is sorting?
There are holes in the bottom of the iron.
What are steam release holes?
The wash cycle with the least amount of agitation.
What is delicate, hand wash, or gentle cycle?
This is what you should do to prevent wrinkles when the drying cycle is completed.
What is hang/fold clothes immediately?
These are the two most common places where a clothing tag might be attached to your clothing
What is the neckline and the side seam?
Sorting of your clothes is done by these two methods.
What is color group and fabric/material?
This flat metal part of the iron gets very hot to get the wrinkles out of your clothes.
What is the sole/sole plate?
This can be purchased in bar, powder, liquid, and pod form and is added to the washing machine to clean your clothes.
What is laundry detergent?
This is how I should dry items that I don't want to stretch or have weird pointy shoulder issues happening
What is dry flat?
There are many types of these drawings showing how to take care of your clothing.
What are laundry symbols?
The color fading you get when you wash whites and reds together.
What is pink?
This is the part of the iron on which it rests when it is not in use.
What is the heel?
This product comes in two forms. Liquid is used in the washing machine and sheets are used in the dryer. Examples are Downy, Snuggle, etc.
What is fabric softener?
I need to use detergent and fabric softener in my laundry. What are some things companies try to convince me I need to make my clothes smell fresher for weeks or months?
What are scent crystals or scent boosters? and/or What are washing machine cleaners?
(Unstoppables, Fireworks, Purex Crystals, Fragrance boosters, etc.)
This is something you should always do before you wash a clothing item for the first time.
What is "Read the Care Label?"
This color of clothing should never be washed with heavily dyed dark clothes.
What are whites?
This is what will happen if you leave the iron on the cloth too long.
What is burn/scorch?
If you buy clothing that can't be washed in a machine you may need to let one of these professionals clean it for you.
What is dry cleaners?
I don't want to do this to any item with a stubborn stain which I'm trying to remove.
What is drying it in the dryer or applying any heat to it.
Heat will set the stain and it will probably never come out completely.
Doing this will keep new clothes looking new and will help save money on your electric/gas bill too.

What are whites, lights, brights, and darks?
These are specific things that can be used to clean the sole plate of the iron.
(NOT a cloth and water)
What is a magic eraser or an iron cleaner?
This detergent type is typically the most expensive form of laundry detergent.
(NOT looking for a brand name here, but a FORM of detergent)
What are Pods or Discs?
A natural, heat sensitive fiber often used to make sweaters or suits that should never be put in the dryer.
