Adrenaline was used in participants to analyze the two-factor theory with 2 conditions. 184 college men were divided into 4 groups. The groups were deceived into thinking they were being injected with Suproxin instead of adrenaline. They were given false effects and the last group was even given a placebo with two conditions. A confederate had a participant play with games inside a waiting room. A confederate was told to become angrier and angrier while filling out a questionnaire including personal questions.The participants behavior was watched to indicate a change in behavior and then had to complete a survey on their emotions
