What is one thing you can do to help people stay focused in on your meeting. Multiple correct answers. Hint: From topic 2 keep your meeting on track video

1. Start with the goal

Kick off every meeting by stating your goal and reviewing your planned agenda. By being explicit at the outset about what you want to accomplish with your time, you can put an end to pre-meeting chatter and dive right in.

2. Create a not-now list

It can be tempting to stray into tackling important, but tangential, discussions. So assign your notetaker to create a "not-now" list: topics you simply can't cover within your current agenda. (Had Parkinson's team had one, the bike shed would be at the top of the list.)

3. Assign a timekeeper

Before the meeting, assign one person to keep track of time spent on each agenda item. That way, if the team gets carried away with rambling ideas, complaints, or disagreements, you'll always have time constraints to keep things moving.
