If a student requests an LOA extension, when is this extension paperwork due and what will the LOA extension start date be?
Extension is due Sunday before original return date. Extension start date is the Tuesday after the return date from the original LOA request.
Ex. - Original return date was 6/6/2021; extension is due by 6/5/2021, student will fill out extension paperwork and the start date on extension will be 6/7/2021
What are the steps to complete an Emergency LOA? (Assuming you have already gotten manager approval 😉)
1. Send email to student notifying them they are being place on ELOA - include reason, due date for paperwork, and return date (these are separate dates)
2. Copy email with time stamp into iDash activity, assign to REG LOA and leave pending

4. Put this on your calendar and manager's calendar to remind everyone that this ELOA is out/needs attention
