What do the verbs ser and estar have in common?
How are they different -- what is each verb used to talk about?
both verbs mean "to be" and have irregular conjugations
ser is used for origin, physical and personality description, identification, date and time, time and place of an event, occupation and with the preposition 'de' to show ownership or material something is made of
estar is used for position, location, actions in progress, conditions, emotions
