NP - Login with an email address, send psw reset but no sending credentials

What are secure settings?
Does a SAML SSO institution in NP have to accept an invitation to be able to log in?
No, SAML SSO users utilize their institution's credentials to log into the Enterprise portal and do not require an invitation for account access.
How would a student UL their baseline photo for NP?
By taking an exam with EID and EM enabled. This applies to BOTH NP and LP.
Is it possible to get the green successful confirmation message for a manual upload even if there is an upload deadline that has passed?
Yes. For both portals, we always need to verify the upload deadline when performing a manual upload. Even if the upload deadline has passed, you WILL get the green confirmation that the upload was successful when in reality it was not.
What are the steps of verifying if ExamID and ExamMonitor were enabled on an assessment?
Locate ET account in ESSupport
Locate posting ID for the exam in question
Lookup institution in ESClient
Select Exam Taker Traking
Navigate to the Assessments tab
Search the posting ID
Select the Assessment name
Scroll to the bottom
Click the pencil icon under the actions column

When performing a clean installation, we need to enable hidden items on both a Mac and a Windows device. How do we enable those hidden items on both device types?
Mac: Shift, Command, . or Terminal Commands
Windows: The View Tab within the File Explorer, and ensure the hidden items option has a checkmark next to it.
Can the link in an invitation email be used more than once to set a password?
No. The link is only made to be selected one to create their password. Once they set up their account, the link will simply take them to the login page.

A student calls in stating every time they take an exam, Examplify takes over 10 minutes to load and just constantly crashes on them. What are some troubleshooting steps we would take in this scenario?
- Verify the device meets MSR and if it does not, recommend the student update OS
- Perform a clean installation of Examplify
- Recommend they obtain a mock exam to test the software with post troubleshooting
What would we do if an ET shows as false in LP, you see the institution pays by voucher code, and the ET is marked as Unpaid?
What if the ET doesn't remember their login credentials but they are not SSO?
What if they state they do not have a voucher code?
Walk ET through logging into the portal and inputting the voucher code to activate their account.
We can send the ET their credentials
Direct the ET to their institution/bookstore for a voucher code

What are steps to resolve a VM error?
Can you explain the MAIN difference between SAML and LDAP SSO logins?
SAML: Reroute to the institution page to input institution credentials, never will input credentials directly into ES or EX, will reset password through their institution
LDAP: They DO input their institutions user ID and password directly into ES and EX for log in, however, will still reset their password through institution
Are you able to post an exam with EID and EM enabled if it is not enabled on the department level?
No. EID and EM have to be enabled on three levels to be able to include the feature on an exam posting. Institution, department, and course level
What 4 things will we make sure to cover with an ET when remote connecting to the device?
- That they are comfortable with the remote connection
- If they have Zoom installed on the device or not
- To close anything they currently have open and need to save or do not want you to see
- They do not need to join with audio or video
